Animal Communication FAQs

What is animal communication?

Animal communication is a way of understanding what your animal is experiencing so you can respond to them with clarity and care. I connect with your animal and receive information about their body, their emotional state, and what they are responding to in their environment and in your relationship, and I translate that into language so you can understand what is happening and what may support them.

What kinds of things can you help with?

People come to me when behavior has changed, when anxiety or reactivity is present, when something in their animal feels different, or when there is illness, aging, or a transition in the home. I also support animals who need help settling in their body, adjusting to change, or moving through stress that is affecting their wellbeing.

Do you work with animals in person or remotely?

I primarily work with animals in person because being in your home allows me to see your animal in their environment, feel what is happening in the space, and work directly with both of you. This brings a deeper level of clarity and allows the work to move more fully. I do offer remote sessions when needed, though my preference is to work with you and your animal in person.

What types of animals do you work with?

I work with cats, dogs, and animals in the home, as well as horses, donkeys, birds, and other animals. I have not met an animal that does not communicate, and if you are unsure about your animal, you can reach out and ask.

What is included in your work with animals?

My work includes animal communication, hands on bodywork, and support for your animal’s health and environment. I work with flower essences and other vibrational remedies to support emotional balance, regulation, and recovery from stress. I also support nutrition, daily care, and the home environment so your animal is cared for in a way that meets their full system. Each session is shaped around what your animal needs and what is happening in your home.

What is pet bodywork and how does it help?

Pet bodywork is hands on work that supports the release of tension, stress, and holding patterns in your animal’s body. It helps regulate their nervous system, supports comfort and mobility, and allows the changes from a session to settle more fully into their system.

Do you support animals at end of life?

I support animals and their people through illness, aging, and end of life. This includes understanding what your animal is experiencing, supporting comfort in their body, working with flower essences and gentle care to ease their system, and helping you move through this time with clarity, presence, and respect for your animal’s process.

Is this about training my animal?

This work is not about training your animal. It is about understanding what is underneath the behavior so you can respond in a way that supports them more accurately.

How is this different from a veterinarian or trainer?

This work does not replace veterinary care or training. It helps you understand what your animal is experiencing so you can make more informed decisions about their care and how you relate to them.

Can this help with anxiety and behavior issues?

This work helps you understand what your animal is responding to, and as that becomes clear, behavior often begins to change because the underlying cause has been addressed.

What happens after a session?

After a session, you leave with a clear understanding of what is happening and what to do next, which may include changes in how you are relating to your animal, adjustments in their environment, support for their body through care and bodywork, and the use of flower essences or nutrition to help them settle and regulate.

How do I get started?

If you are in or near Boulder, Colorado, you can book a free consultation with me and we will look at what is happening and what may support your animal.

How do I know if my animal needs this?

You will often notice changes in your animal such as anxiety, reactivity, withdrawal, or a shift in their behavior or energy that does not feel like them. This work helps you understand what is happening so you can respond in a way that supports them.

Can you tell if my animal is in pain?

I can feel and receive where something is happening in your animal’s body, and I describe what I am sensing so you have something specific to observe or bring to your veterinarian. This supports your awareness and does not replace medical care.

Can you help with separation anxiety?

I can help you understand what your animal is responding to, including their attachment to you and what is happening in the home, so you can support them in a way that reduces anxiety.

Can you help with aggressive or reactive behavior?

Reactivity and aggression are forms of communication, and there is always something underneath them. I help you understand what is driving that behavior so you can respond in a way that creates more stability and safety.

Can you help my animal adjust to a move or new environment?

I help you understand how your animal is experiencing changes such as a move, a new home, or a shift in routine so you can support them in settling more easily.

Can you help with introducing new animals or pets?

I support introductions by understanding what each animal is experiencing and how they are responding to each other so the process can move with more awareness and less stress.

Can you communicate with lost animals?

I can connect with animals and receive information, though outcomes vary. If you are in this situation, you can reach out and we can look at what support is available.

How quickly will I see changes in my animal?

Some shifts happen quickly once something is understood, and other changes unfold over time as you apply what comes through in the session. The clarity you receive gives you a direction to work with.

How should I prepare for a session?

You can bring what you have been noticing and any questions you have. You do not need to prepare your animal, and it is most helpful for you to be clear about what you want to understand.

How long are sessions?

Session length depends on what we are working with and whether bodywork is included, and we can go over what will best support your animal during your consultation.

Do you travel for sessions?

I work with clients in their homes and can travel depending on location, and you can reach out so we can discuss what is possible.

Do you only work with animals or also with the home?

I work with both your animal and your home because they are connected, and what is happening in the space affects your animal, so I look at the full environment so the support is complete.

Naomi Amaya Love

I am Naomi Amaya Love, Mystic Medicine Woman, Priestess, and Animal Communicator devoted to guiding you through the pain bodies and into the holy, whole, and healed self.

For more than three decades, I have walked the path of the healer. I have held thousands of ceremonies, guided others through life’s initiations, and witnessed the beauty of true transformation. My own life has been one of fire and devotion. I am the alchemy of trauma, shaped by the sacred fires of experience and guided by grace. The path has taught me that healing is not theory but embodiment, a living practice of returning to the essence of self. Every wound I have tended in myself has become medicine that now serves others.

I walk with those who feel the call to live in devotion, to move beyond grief, fear, and survival, and return to the truth of who they are. My role is to hold the sacred field of remembrance so you may live from your wholeness and strength.

Ceremonies, sessions, medicine days, retreats, mentorships, and apprenticeships offer pathways for healing and awakening. Each one meets you where you are and supports you in returning to harmony with your divine design.

I am attuned to the languages of the subtle, Earth, animals, plants, and the unseen. I listen for what has not been spoken and translate the wisdom that longs to be remembered. This is the bridge I offer, between the visible and invisible, between pain and divine embodiment.

Where the not-self dissolves, your true essence awakens. A sacred return to your holy, whole, and healed self.

Whether we meet in person or virtually, every experience is a ceremony of remembrance, a return to coherence, peace, and sacred alignment with your life.

I invite you to journey inward and awaken the holy, whole, and healed self within. Together we weave your dreams into the fabric of your life, leaving a legacy of truth, beauty, and grace.

In Devotion,
Naomi Amaya Love
